Goal weight is about mind, body, soul
Written byCitizen on 10/10/2003

Why is it that, although there are so many diets available, people still struggle with weight loss problems?

Sandy Goldberg, a lifestyle consultant, facilitator, author and speaker says most weight loss programmes only focus on healthy eating.

Sandy heads up Unique Lifestyle, which specializes in healthy and holistic weight loss and lifestyle programmes.

“leading a healthy lifestyle is so much more than feeding your body, its is also about feeding your mind and soul,” she says.

People need to stop thinking about diets equaling deprivation, but rather look at health, wellness and happiness.

She says when we change how we think, we will then be able to change our bodies and how we look.

What makes Sandy’s “ soul snacks – Change your Thinking, change your Body” workshop unique, is that this workshop recognises the importance of feeding your mind and soul to achieve success.

“The workshop looks at why people struggle to lose weight, and why they don’t achieve their weight loss goals,” she says adding that the course also looks at steps they can take to achieve their weight loss dreams.

“By the end of the course each delegate will have designed a vision and action plan relevant to their situation.”

The course is practical with lots of exercises. It is designed so each delegate will have fun and feel pampered.

Sandy is also author of Low Fat Food for your Mind, Body and Soul.

“ I wrote the kind of book I wished I could have read during the nine years I struggled to lose weight,” she says.

Motivating and inspiring people and giving those who have weight problems tools to help them change their thinking were the reasons for writing the book.

This practical and easy-to-read book also tells the story of Sandy’s struggle to lose weight and is available at leading bookstores around the country. The recommended retail price is R120-00.
